Where to go paragliding near Marrakech
There's no launch inside the city itself, but the best paragliding site near Marrakech is Lake Lalla Takerkoust. Set between the dam and the first foothills of the Atlas, it offers open terrain, a steady lake breeze and a unique panorama over turquoise water and the peaks — ideal conditions for a first flight.
40 minutes from central Marrakech
It's about a 40-minute drive south-west from Marrakech. It makes the perfect half-day adventure: we offer round-trip transport from your riad or hotel so you can reach the launch site without renting a car.
Tandem flight: no experience required
Tandem paragliding is open to everyone, from teenagers up. You sit at the front in a comfortable harness while a qualified pilot fully controls the wing. Take-off and landing take only a few steps — no running and no technical knowledge needed.
The best season to fly
We fly year-round in Marrakech, but spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) offer the most stable air and the best light. In summer we take off early in the morning or late in the day to avoid the heat and enjoy calm skies.
Photos and video included
Every flight is filmed and photographed from a pole mounted to the harness. Your footage is handed to you right after landing — a complete memory of your paragliding flight over the lake, with no hidden fees.
